This place is weird. The design and layout of the resort and rooms are weird. It's clean, comfortable, nice pool, swim up bar is fun (but the cocktails are not great, stick to beer/wine), breakfast buffet is fine. Great location in the middle of it all. But wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend. Seems like there should be a better deal in town.
All rooms have 0 privacy, literally zero. The hotel design is cold and doesn't fit the region. The gym is a joke. The reception people try their best to not understand what I'm saying. The location okay. Pools are okay. Breakfast servers 80% lunch food and 20% breakfast food. it's better to pay a bit more for a nicer hotel.
Brilliant hotel, very spacious and open, plenty of sun beds and pool is fantastic. Staff were very good. Breakfast was very good had a good selection which was changed every morning. Plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance location is ideal. Rooms were well maintained and serviced although we were staying in the apartements in the bay wing closest to the street with the restaurant, and it was noisy at night up until 11pm but still manageable, only complaint. Lovely restaurant just down the street called tuktik
This resort was amazing! I was upgraded to a pool access room which was beautiful. There are several large pools so they are never over crowded and a great pool bar in the main pool. It’s quiet but a great vibe. The rooms are clean and great condition, not run down. The beds are so comfy. The buffet breakfast had a very good selection and it was very fresh which is didn’t get from my other resort stay. The location is right near local market, cafes and restaurants so easy to walk around and get a good variety.
The staff were all so enthusiastic and accommodating and spoke good English. A big thank you to Chuleekorn she was fantastic and so helpful making my booking Similan Island day trip. I had a facial and massage in the Spa which was Devine. Thank you to all the team, I loved every minute here.
The Pools and the general Hotel facilities are quite impressive and a good place to relax. Also ways to the beach and the city are short and everything needed is in walking distance. Unfortunately, the hotel is under a very unprofessional management which lowers your holidays experiences by a lot. Especially the team behind the reception is rather unfriendly and not client oriented at all. Thailand as the land of smiles is definitively not something that reception is aware of.
Location was quiet despite being in the middle of Biang Nang. Lots of restaurants and massage places right outside. The hotel was quiet, clean and spacious. I was in a pool access room and after a dive trip, an upper pool room, and both rooms were spacious and clean. Also, didn't see any mosquitoes or bugs around!
The hotel it's self is nice, lovely pool and food, especially the breakfast buffet. Staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and modern.
The reason I haven't enjoyed our stay here is because the first night we were woken by something in our room, a bird or mouse scratching above our room. Reception kindly moved us to another room but that's where the second problem came from. There's a bar next door that plays live music from 10pm - 12pm and it sounds like it's in the next room so there's no chance of sleeping before midnight. The curtains aren't blackout so if you like a dark quiet room like me then this isn't the hotel for you. Another thing we disliked in the rooms is the fact the toilet door is glass with no privacy what so ever which is just awkward and uncomfortable. The hotel is really nice but if it can't provide a dark quiet space for you to lay your head at night after a busy day of exploring then it's failed.
Me and my wife stayed at The Waters for 14 nights late November/December. We stayed in a direct pool access room which was excellent and I would thoroughly recommend. The room includes coffee/tea making facilities, a safe, a TV (which we never even switched on), slippers, dressing gowns, toiletries, free bottles of water every day and a massive, veery comfortable bed. Outside on the patio/terrace you have 2 sun loungers and a table. The sun loungers can be placed in the shallow water if you wish and in the event of rain, you can remain outside but undercover. The hotel has very extensive pool areas and whilst we were there, we never had any problems with getting a sunbed at any time of day. There is an extensive choice at breakfast. There is an egg station which does fried, scrambled, poached, boiled eggs as well as omelettes and it is here where you get bacon if you wish. There is cereals, meats, cheeses, fruit and a choice of Asian dishes which vary everyday. I really do not understand the reviews stating there isn’t much choice or variety.
The staff in the hotel are all very friendly, especially the housekeeping ladies. The hotel also has an Italian restaurant (Amici) which is where you also have breakfast. I cannot comment on the restaurant as we never at in the hotel at night. The location of the hotel is great. Plenty of bars and restaurants are within a few minutes stroll as well as the market which takes place 4 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday I seem to recall). There are supermarkets and shops very nearby also and there is also a good wine shop with an extensive choice nearby. I don’t think the hotel is actually officially adult only but there a very few children there (which we like).
I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel if you are staying in Khao Lak (Bang Niang to be precise).
